Pre-Synod meeting dates

Three pre-synod meetings will be held across the Diocese of Ontario on May 2, 3 and 4. Synod members are required to attend one of these three meetings prior to our diocesan synod.

The agenda will include the third part of the Diocese of Ontario's 3-year financial planning work introduced in two previous open meetings held on March 30 and April 13, along with the agenda for the upcoming Synod on May 26-28 and nominations for Synod Council and Provincial Synod. Delegates will also hear about presentations to be featured at Synod and Bishop Susan Bell's Mission Action Plan workshop on Saturday May 27.

The St. Mark's Barriefield location of the three pre-synod meetings will provide an option of attending in-person or joining virtually through Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be provided closer to the meeting date. This meeting will be recorded and posted on the Diocese of Ontario YouTube channel. The locations of St. Paul's Roslin and Holy Trinity Oak Leaf will be in person meetings only (no virtual option).

Pre-Synod meetings will be held at the following dates and locations from 7-9pm in the evening:

  • May 2 at St. Paul’s, Roslin
  • May 3 at St. Mark’s, Barriefield (this session will be live streamed)
  • May 4 at Holy Trinity, Oak Leaf
