Synod 2021 saw the launch of the new Diocese of Ontario ‘Reach and Stretch Grants’! Intended to inspire parishes to ‘Warm Up for Ministry,’ the Reach and Stretch Grants are made available from the New Ministry Fund and are open to any diocesan group or parish for the purpose of funding new and innovative ministries that focus on these key areas: reconciliation, lay leadership, evangelism, social action and justice and creation of a culture of gratitude.

The Anglican Diocese of Ontario Foundation assists parishes and congregations by providing grants for specific projects, ministries and programmes. The Foundation funds three vital areas in parish ministry: leadership, ministry and infrastructure. Each of these funds supports a specific area of ministry considered vital to the future health and vitality of our diocesan family. Within each fund, the Foundation equips the church to seize opportunities, overcome challenges and to respond to change, both now and in the future.

The Anglican Foundation of Canada distributes grants and loans to causes that are new or for which funds are not easily accessed or financed. Programs supported by the Foundation can range from building projects, accessibility upgrades, creative arts programs, theological student bursaries, camps, aboriginal prayer and peace circles, and much more. (Note: Applications can only be made through the diocese, not directly to the Foundation).
