Bishop Michael Oulton is pleased to announce that the Service of Translation and Installation for The Rt Rev William Cliff to serve as the thirteenth bishop of The Diocese of Ontario will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. George on Saturday, October 21st at 5pm.
Joining in this celebration will be the bishops of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario along with our Primate, Most Rev Linda Nicholls, the National Indigenous Archbishop Chris Harper and other bishops from across Canada.
The clergy of the diocese are required to attend with the liturgical colour being red for the Feast of St Luke the Evangelist (transferred). Lay readers of the Diocese of Ontario are also invited to attend and robe.
All lay members of our diocese are invited to attend and celebrate this special service. The service will be livestreamed via the St. George's Cathedral YouTube Channel.
Please hold Bishop Cliff and the members of our diocese, along with the people of the Diocese of Brandon, in your prayers as William prepares to move to the diocese and take up his new episcopal vocation
