Bishop William Cliff: Synod Office Appointments

Bishop William is pleased to announce the following appointments effective April 1, 2026.

Joyce Williams, currently serving as financial analyst, is appointed as director of finance. Holding a BA from Dalhousie University,  Joyce came from Collins Barrow LLP (now MNP) in 2016 and has worked closely with church leaders in all things financial over the past 10 years. She has had a lead role in the implementation and management of the internally run payroll and investment systems. Joyce was raised in a ministry family where a heart for serving the Lord and the church was fostered.

Laura Conway, currently serving as administration and accounting assistant, is appointed as diocesan payroll and finance administrator. Laura first joined the Diocese of Ontario in 2018 assisting in the preparation of Synod before accepting a full time position in 2019 as executive assistant to the diocesan executive and finance officer. Over the years, Laura has taken on many roles working in various departments including the diocesan archives, accounting assistant in the finance department as well as bishops assistant & acting-registrar for the Diocese of Ontario.

The position of diocesan financial officer is being reviewed and will be determined at a later date.
