Diocesan Social Action Ministries

The Social Action/Social Justice ministry supports and encourages the Christian call to social justice. By providing information and education on issues of social and ecological concern at the local, national and international levels, the committee raises awareness, and encourages individual and parish involvement. The Social Justice Committee also works in collaboration with the following satellite committees: Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF), Diocese of Ontario Refugee Support (DOORS), and the Green Group.

The diocesan Social Justice Committee was formed in February 2007 as a working, steering, and advisory committee as required. Membership is open to interested clergy and laity within the Diocese of Ontario. Terms of office are three years in length.
