Leeds Anglican Ministries is delighted to be hosting a Fundraising Gala for Agape Brockville Refugee Support.

The event will take place on Friday, September 8 in the lovely Venue Barn at Furnace Falls Farm, near Lyndhurst, and will include a social hour with refreshments, a delicious seasonal, locally sourced dinner by Chef Karen. Entertainment provided by Triola, Josh Mensen, Pat Johnson and Will Crawford, as well as a silent auction. Tickets are $100 per person.

This refugee sponsorship group is committed to bringing UNHCR refugees to Canada, and supporting them financially and otherwise for one year. Since Agape Brockville is an entirely volunteer organization, all funds raised support refugee families’ new lives in Canada,

Since 2015 Agape Brockville have sponsored 4 families, and are currently supporting a newly arrived Syrian family of four whose younger child will require significant additional medical support. Agape expects to soon welcome a Somali family of four who have been refugees since 2010, as well as an Eritrean family of seven who have recently fled Sudan due to inability to get food, and are now waiting in Egypt.
