The ACW objective in the Diocese of Ontario is to provide all Anglican women in the Diocese, both lay and ordained, with information enabling them to fulfill their ministries in all areas of their church life, and to foster cooperation between all groups within the church and community.

Membership is open to any woman who is a member of a parish in the Diocese of Ontario.

Our aims are: 

a. to keep in view the potential of women in the world and their responsibilities and opportunities in the church and society;

b. to do everything possible to support the health and integrity of individuals and families in the church and the community;

c. to initiate and/or support programmes for all age groups;

d. to encourage church members to work ecumenically.

Through our yearly Fair Share and Thankofferings we support the: Bishop’s Discretionary Fund, Diocesan General Fund, Camp Hyanto, Sleeping Children Around the World, Children of Chernobyl, Kumasi Project, Father Robespierre of the Philippine Independent Church, Northern Missions in Canada, Anne's Mission to Brazil, Leprosy Mission, Interval Houses and Down’s Syndrome, as well as other worthy causes.

The ACW Prayer

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who did send Your blessed Son into the world to become the Saviour of mankind: Grant to us a deep sense of gratitude for Your grace and mercy towards us; Enable us by Your Spirit to reveal Your love in prayer and work and stewardship; So that Your salvation may become known to all peoples, and Your name glorified throughout all the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
