As I have been facilitating Screening in Faith throughout our Diocese there are often similar questions asked for clarification.

Here are a few of these questions and answers. Unfortunately there have been times when I have probably contributed to the confusion especially when I was learning the ropes myself. Sorry for this.

1. Only High Risk positions require police checks and vulnerable sector searches.
2 A police record check and vulnerable sector search no older than one year old is required at the beginning of ministry for people in High Risk positions.
3.Only High Risk ministry position documentation is to be sent to the Synod Office. For every High Risk ministry the Synod Office requires a completed Screening Checklist and Police Record Check , Vulnerable Sector Search. All other documentation is to be securely filed in the parish.
