The Anglican
Diocese of Ontario
Foundation

We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy,
in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the
exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the
compassionate, in cheerfulness.

Romans 12.6-8

"Renewal for the Christian
community is never simply a
matter of doing the same things
better, though that is an essential
part of it; it's also about finding
what new shapes for our life
together are created under the
pressure of mission. New wines
and new wineskins, you might
say; the idea is firmly rooted in
the Gospel itself."

The Most Reverend and Right
Honourable Rowan Williams
Archbishop of Canterbury

The Diocesan Strategic Plan, in 2003, understood the need for a new source of
funding for congregations to fulfill the vision for healthy, viable ministry.

To meet this challenge the Anglican Diocese of Ontario formed a Foundation to
assist parishes and congregations by providing grants for specific projects,
ministries and programmes.

The Foundation has identified three vital areas for funding:

Leadership - The Clergy Development Fund and Lay Leadership Fund
Ministry - The Parish and Diocesan Ministries Fund
Infrastructure - The Infrastructure Fund

Each of these funds supports a specific area of ministry considered vital to the
future health and vitality of our diocesan family. Within each fund, the Foundation
equips the Church to seize opportunities, overcome challenges and to respond to
change, both now and in the future.
